The principal of Piedmont High School in the Bay Area sent a letter to parents last week informing them of a "fantasy slut league" played by some groups of students over about six years.
"It's basically a gossip kind of posting that some kids are involved in, some of our sports teams, based on the fantasy league concept where you draft players," said Piedmont High School Principal Richard Kitchens.
But instead of drafting athletes, Kitchens said the male students drafted females and earned points for documented sexual acts with them. It is unclear if there was a prize for winning the league, school officials said.
Kitchens said he hoped publicizing the league to parents would lead to a change in behavior among his students.
Piedmont is a small, affluent city in Alameda County surrounded by the city of Oakland.
