Adoree' Jackson's availability, role on offense could change each game

USC freshman Adoree' Jackson was a three-way threat for the Trojans in the first four games this season.

Against Arizona State, Jackson started at cornerback and returned kicks but he did not play on offense as a receiver.

On Saturday night at Arizona, Jackson will start at cornerback for the second consecutive game.

Coach Steve Sarkisian said Jackson's role as an offensive player could change game by game, but he does not want to take away from his role with the defense.

"He's winning one-on-one matchups and he's getting more comfortable every week back there," Sarkisian said. "I think he's doing a great job returning kickoffs -- I really believe he's close to breaking one here."

Jackson has averaged 27.9 yards on seven kickoff returns.

He has four receptions for 32 yards and a touchdown. He has made nine tackles, including two for losses, and has broken up two passes.
