"John Ford: Dreaming the Quiet Man," a 2012 Irish documentary that earned a nomination at the Irish Film & Television Academy Awards, is arriving stateside Tuesday on DVD from Olive Films. Directed by Sé Merry Doyle and narrated by Gabriel Byrne, "John Ford" offers a behind-the-scenes look at the making of the 1952 Ford classic starring John Wayne, Maureen O'Hara and Victor McLaglen. The documentary chronicles Ford's 20-year struggle to make "The Quiet Man," for which he won his fourth directing Oscar, visits the quaint Irish town where the comedy-romance was filmed and features interviews with O'Hara as well as filmmakers Martin Scorsese, Peter Bogdanovich and Jim Sheridan.
