"Birdman" "American Sniper" and "Unbroken" were among the winners at the Motion Picture Sound Editors Golden Reel Awards on Sunday in Los Angeles.
The Golden Reel Awards celebrate outstanding achievement in sound editing in feature films, long-form and short-form TV and other media.
"Birdman" won the Golden Reel in the category "feature film: music." "American Sniper" earned the top prize in the "feature film: FX/foley" category. "Unbroken" received the award for "feature film: dialogue/ADR," and "Get on Up" was the recipient for "feature film: music (music feature)."
"Big Hero 6" won for "best sound and music editing: feature animation" and "Warsaw Uprising" was honored for "best sound and music editing: feature documentaries."
Among the winners on the television side were the "Oh Shenandoah" episode of "The Newsroom," "The Children" installment of "Game of Thrones" and "Klondike," Episode 1.
Director Darren Aronofsky ("Noah") received the Filmmaker Award, and sound editor Skip Lievsay won the Career Achievement Award.
